Your trek begins in the bustling city of Kathmandu, where you'll embark on a scenic drive through picturesque countryside to the trailhead of the Pikey Peak trek. From here, the adventure unfolds as you traverse through rhododendron forests, quaint Sherpa villages, and verdant meadows, each step revealing new vistas and experiences.
As you ascend towards Pikey Peak, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of iconic Himalayan peaks, including Mount Everest, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga. Marvel at the sunrise and sunset over the snow-capped mountains, painting the sky with hues of pink, orange, and gold, creating a truly magical spectacle.
Along the way, immerse yourself in the rich culture and traditions of the Sherpa people, known for their warm hospitality and ancient Buddhist customs. Visit monasteries, prayer flags, and sacred stupas, gaining insights into their way of life and spiritual beliefs.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Transfer to Hotel Leisure Time -Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 02: Drive to Dhap Bazaar (2850 m) (7 hours)
Early morning departure from Kathmandu with a drive down the newly opened B. P. Highway to Ghurmi in the Koshi River basin. From Ghurmi, the road leads to the higher elevation passing through Rhododendron forest to Dhap Bazaar.
Spend the night in a guest house and explore the town.
Day 03: Trek from Dhap Bazaar to Jhapre (2815 m) (5 hours)
Your trek begins on a dirt road passing through the village of Sigane. You’ll already spot scenic views of Mt. Everest and Numbur Himal through the rhododendron foliage.
Tour Jhapre village and visit the local monastery.
Overnight in lodge accommodations.
Day 04: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp (3640 m) (5 hours)
Start your day’s trek with a bracing view of the Himalayas. The trail climbs through the Rhododendron forest and opens out into a Yak pasture. Cross the long Mane wall to reach Pikey peak base camp. A visit to a yak cheese factory rounds out this interesting day.
Day 05: Trek to Junbesi (2680m) (6 hours) via Pikey Peak (4065 m, 6 hrs)
Today’s high point is, you guessed it, the high point of the trek.
Climb along the rocky ridge to Pikey peak.
You’ll enjoy unfettered views of Dhaulagiri, Kanchanjunga, Mt. Everest, Thamsherku, Numbur Himal and Kangtega.
Begin your descent to Lamjura pass then to Junbesi. Highlights include alpine landscape, Himalayan views and Buddhist landmarks of Mane walls and Stupas. Take time at the end to visit the local monastery at Junbesi.
Day 06: Explore the Thupten Choling Gompa (2920 m) (4 hours)
Enjoy pristine Sherpaland and take a side trip hike to Thupten Chholing Gompa. The trail ascends following the Junbesi River.
Day 07: Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu (2380 m) (4 hours)
The trail winds down the Junbesi River and crosses the suspension bridge to the town of Benighat at the confluence.
Day 08: Drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu (10 hours)
Take ground transportation back to Kathmandu. Check in at your hotel and relax. Alternatively, 35-minute flight back to Kathmandu is a scenic thrill. Enjoy the aerial view of the snowy peaks and reflect on your amazing adventure.
Day 09: Departure transfer after Breakfast
